Dr John Parsons (Doctor of Chiropractic)

“After 30 years of back pain, while searching for something to help, I stumbled upon a secret that really helped me change my life and get rid of my pain, and so I wanted to help others relieve their pain too. Originally from London, I graduated as a chiropractor in 2000 from the Oxford School of Chiropractic and Oxford Brookes University, with a BSc in Chiropractic.

With over 13 years experience of working as a chiropractor and seeing improvements in many thousands of people, I have every confidence we’ll be able to help you with your problem.

The main aim of chiropractic care is to get you out of pain and help you get back to your usual activities again. I’ve been able to help people with a huge range of problems, including people in pain for over 30 years. You can read about the benefits of Parsons chiropractic in our patient feedback section.

Before I became a chiropractor I was a chiropractic patient. After fracturing my spine playing football, I know what it’s like to suffer constant pain. I had trapped spinal nerves and severe muscle spasm, giving me leg pain that often prevented me from working. After years of trying many different treatments like osteopathy, acupuncture, spinal fusion back surgery and many forms of chiropractic with no success, I finally found something that worked for me.I met a chiropractor who had developed a gentle way of adjusting the spine without cracking, who helped me get my life back. This was Dr Hugh Corley who was the founder of the McTimoney-Corley technique and the Oxford School of Chiropractic. Ever grateful to him, I studied for 4 years at Oxford to become a chiropractor. Since then I have helped 1000’s of people with pains like headaches, migraines, back pain, sciatica, tennis elbow, carpel tunnel, and frozen shoulder, etc., and I continue to learn new methods that successfully help people. Since graduating I’ve studied and mastered other techniques such as Koren Specific Technique(KST), Neuro-Impulse Protocol (NIP), The Yuen Method, Torque Release, The Thompson Technique, Activator Methods, Marma Therapy, Advanced Muscle Reconditioning Massage, and many others,”

The Yuen Method was developed by Dr Kam Yuen, a chiropractor and Shaolin grand master. I have trained with Christine Nobel who is his certified practitioner trainer in the UK. This is a very welcome addition to my practice for deleting pain and stress on the spot.

Advanced Muscle Reconditioning (AMR) is a unique muscle therapy that addresses the root causes of pain, whether it be muscle pain, joint pain, circulatory problems or nerve pain. The skeletal muscle system, which has been underestimated by our medical system, makes up 50% of our body mass. I learnt Advanced Muscle Reconditioning from Dr Brian Bronk, the founder of AMR.

My colleague, Mrs Sharon Banks, who is a therapist specialising in Advanced Muscle Reconditioning (AMR), works at the clinic in Leyland on mondays. She is an expert in releasing muscle spasm and other muscle related problems.”

Our results…

Results for our patients have sometimes been dramatic, and sometimes take some time. Often gently pressing, rubbing or tapping certain pressure points on the body can help release muscle spasms and quickly relieve pain.
